Rabbi Dr. Jeffrey Woolf joins the Jewish Israel Team

Jewish Israel is pleased to announce that Rabbi Dr. Jeffrey Woolf has joined the Jewish Israel board as an academic and religious advisor.

Dr. Woolf is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Talmud at Bar Ilan University, where he specializes in Jewish Intellectual History and the History of Jewish Law. Dr. Woolf has a PhD in Medieval Jewish History from Harvard University, and has served as a visiting professor at Yale, Yeshiva University, New York University and Touro College.

He studied for nine and a half years under Rav Joseph B. Soloveitchik and received his rabbinic ordination from him at Yeshiva University. He is a well known proponent of Modern Orthodoxy, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Rabbinical Council of America.

Dr. Woolf and his family made aliyah in 1993 and live in Efrat.
