In the last 24 hours two of Israel's major news sources are carrying stories about Messianic aliyah (is that an oxymoron?):
YNET: Messianic Jews demand Israeli citizenship and
The Jerusalem Post: Aliya expert: Messianic Jews and aliya
The author and expert of the Jpost feature is Maurice Singer, an Independent Consultant and former Senior Aliyah Consultant at the Jewish Agency.
Read the answer to the below question, and weep, and then try our discussion forum on this issue where JI member Penina Taylor, Executive Director, Shomrei Emet Institute for Counter-Missionary Studies, and Former Executive Director of Jews for Judaism, Jerusalem has plenty to say.

Q: We are Messianic Jews and would like to make Aliyah. How difficult would this be?

Jewish Israel is hoping to make it very difficult... Meanwhile Joel Chernoff of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America (MJAA) is just kvelling in his blog

Rabbi Benzion Kravitz, Director of Jews for Judaism wrote to me that he posted the following as talkback under the YNET article:
It is disingenuous for messianic Jews to simply say they believe Jesus was the messiah. They undeniably believe Jesus was God in the flesh and part of the Trinity. These pagan idolatrous beliefs remove them from the Jewish faith and are the reason they are not considered Jewish unless they renounce these beliefs and return to the pure monotheism of Abraham and Moses.
