Elav’s “Jesus Revolution” Concert for Youth Comes to First Station in Jerusalem

(Please see follow-up report:  MDA Draws Blood at Elav Missionary Conference in Jerusalem)

Tonight, during the three week period between the fast of the 17th of Tammuz to the fast of the 9th of Av, in the shadow of Jerusalem’s Old City and the Temple Mount, throngs of Israeli teens and a good number of zealous Christian youth from abroad will be gathering at Jerusalem’s First Station for the Elav's 2015 messianic missionary rock and jesus worship concert. The organizers of the annual Elav event, Succat Hallel, have openly called for “a Jesus Revolution in Israel”.

In previous years Elav’s missionary extravaganzas have been held at venues such as Hangar 11 in Tel Aviv and the International Convention Center in Haifa.  But we really have to wonder how the management of First Station and the municipal powers-that-be in a Jewish Jerusalem can justify this one.

And just in case anyone remains uncertain of the ELAV event’s intentions, its "Statement of Participant’s Parents" for minors includes the following:

"… we give our consent to the expose the participant to a religious persuading, which may lead to the conversion of his religion."

Jerusalem city Councilman  Aryeh King has been actively involved in trying to stop the event and it has been reported that there will be an anti-missionary presence outside of First Station protesting this evening.

JewishIsrael has been posting video material and citing Elav and its missionary sponsors in our reports since 2009.

I don’t know any other way to make you, the christian/messianic missionary, aware of what it is you are doing except to strike, what I truly believe, is a very viable, social comparison: pedophilia...with parental consent, yet!

Using such foundational “proof texts” as Ephesians 2:15 to justify your behavior, you prey on the weak and the uninformed of our Jewish communities worldwide. To wit:

“For he himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in his flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in himself he might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to G-d through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity...”

The passage vilifies the “barrier of the dividing wall…which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances” as the thing to be overcome, thus allowing relations between Jew and gentile. This is precisely the argument the shameless pedophile uses in defense of his activity.

According to the North America Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) — otherwise known as the intellectual elite of child molesting — in an article published on line by Hidden Mysteries: The Health Archive  (http://www.hiddenmysteries.org/health/effects/pedophilia.html)  “child sexual abuse itself was ‘relatively unimportant compared with family environment’ in causing negative effects. The clear implication is that children would suffer few if any negative effects from pedophilia if only society were more accepting of such behavior.

Adult-child sex”, conclude the authors, “should not be indiscriminately termed child sexual abuse. One possible approach,” they suggest, “is to focus on the young person’s perception of his or her willingness to participate and his or her reactions to the experience. A willing encounter with positive reactions would be labeled simply adult-child sex, a value-neutral term.” Wow! How safe is that?

It wouldn’t take much editing to alter those statements into acceptable verbiage for a missionary training manual…free treats, rides, parties, fun times? And the first part about the act of pedophilia, itself, being of less importance than the implied barrier of family environment (aka Torah), fits the gist of Ephesians 2:15 quite nicely, don’t you think?

The aforementioned article has much to say on the grim realities and long-term effects of pedophilia. It also provides you, the missionary, a much-needed education regarding just who you are in the sight of the Orthodox community, and your efforts to seduce Jews. Not too surprisingly, jesus is even quoted!

     Physician! Heal thyself!
