- I was a fundamentalist, evangelical, born-again Christian for forty-five years. I was even a pastor/missionary for twenty of those years, and a member of a Messianic congregation under the leadership of the founder of the International Federation of Messianic Jews (Christians with kippos). But, as the saying goes, “that was then…this is now.” Now I’m an Orthodox Jew. Now I know what it means to be truly born again.
